USS Yorktown to host massive New Years Eve celebration | Events
MT. PLEASANT (WCSC) - The USS Yorktown will be transformed into a New Years Eve party spot as it holds Charleston’s first-ever aircraft carrier ball drop celebration.
Yorktown Countdown will be held Monday, December 31 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The party, featuring multiple admission levels, will live music, food, drinks, and the best views in town.
Liquid Pleasure, a 12-piece party band, will headline the evening’s entertainment. Other bands to perform include the local group High Soceity, and Athens, Georgia rock band Mama’s Love.
In addition to live music, a number of DJ’s will hit the flight deck, including Fullhaus, Kilgo, Travis Myers, and John Kutter.
Tickets to the Yorktown Countdown are split into three categories:
First Aboard ($99) – Include an all-inclusive full service bar and access to the indoor airplane hanger and outdoor fantail area.
VIP ($149) – Include everything from First Aboard, as well as access to the Yorktown’s rooftop Flight Deck (will be tented and heated), a top-shelf all-inclusive bar, four DJ performances, and a large-screen ball drop at midnight.
Ultra VIP Cabana ($3,000 per cabana) – Each cabana allows admission for up to 10 guests. Cabanas will provide front row seating on the Flight Deck. Guests with Cabana tickets can bypass all entrance lines with a private shuttle to the Yorktown, personal cocktail service all night, and access to VIP bars.
