Darius Rucker teams with ONEHOPE Wine for charity | News
CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC)- A famous Lowcountry country-music star has teamed up with ONEHOPE Wine to help raise money for to help children with disabilities.
ONEHOPE Wine's Signature Series will feature chart-topping recording artist Darius Rucker. The organization created its Signature Series to allow celebrities a platform to use their influence to help others.
"For this Signature Series, every bottle purchased supports therapeutic services for children with multiple disabilities being served by Pattison's Academy," said Melissa Levick, Executive Director of the ONEHOPE Foundation.
Pattison's Academy is located in Mt. Pleasant.
Rucker says the Pattison's Academy – an organization that improves the quality of life for children with multiple disabilities by providing comprehensive education and rehabilitation programs – is close to his heart.
"It is important to me to help ensure a better life for children, which is why I have been a strong supporter of Pattison's P.A.C.E. charter school since its doors first opened," said Rucker.
ONEHOPE says the selected influencers play a big part in creating the product from start to finish. Rucker's wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon with hints of dark berries and cassis.
Each bottle of Rucker's Signature Series wine will come in a custom made wooden box featuring his signature on front of the bottle. The bottle of wine will be available online for $49.99. Half the profits will go to Pattison's Academy.
